Hardware Engineering Intern, BS/MS, Summer 2026

Job Description

Google is seeking Hardware Engineering Interns to help design and build hardware and software technologies that power all of Google's services, with a focus on computational challenges and custom in-house hardware.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• English proficiency required for the internship program
• Located in the United States for the duration of the internship program
• Experience in hardware system integration, signal and power integrity, system validation, product design, computer architecture, FPGAs, embedded systems, or memory systems
• Familiarity with data center systems, consumer electronics, board layout, CAD tools, and systems integration

Responsibilities

• Design and build hardware and software technologies for Google's services
• Work on custom hardware designed in-house
• Contribute to innovative first-party devices and services
• Research, design, and develop new technologies and hardware
