Job Description

Apple's Visual Productivity Apps group is seeking an engineer to help build the future of iWork, Freeform, and other apps for visual creation.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Swift or Objective-C
• Proficiency in Python or another scripting language
• Skilled with object-oriented design
• Experience with Metal, CoreGraphics, or other 2D graphics environments
• Demonstrated experience planning and delivering software projects with and for cross-functional teams
• Ability to communicate clearly-both verbally and in writing-and build trust across business lines
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with other engineers, human interface designers, localization teams, and content producers
• Analyze workflows and suggest improvements, coordinate process changes, and make technical changes to products and tools
• Produce documentation and provide other forms of support
• Develop new interactions and visual capabilities to broaden users’ capabilities
• Write easy-to-understand new code, fix existing bugs, and make architectural improvements
• Keep the ultimate user in mind at all times, delighting them while supporting their best work
