AIML - Sr Engineering Program Manager, Search

Job Description

Apple is looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead groundbreaking Search initiatives that play a meaningful role in the future of Siri Search and Apple.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in driving large scale program building machine learning powered products
• 3+ years experience bringing a product from concept to completion, ideally working on machine-learning features and/or sophisticated backend and front-end systems
• Deep understanding of software development for machine-learned products and services, and how analytics and evaluation data can help improve those products
• Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities
• Strong desire to learn, aptitude for problem solving, and the ability to make sophisticated trade-offs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation and ability to influence stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Build and run project timelines with clear dependencies, critical path and systematic methodology to communicate status
• Handle risks and mitigations, and re-plan as events warrant
• Drive alignment across the organization and between teams
• Proactively identify and manage risks, close gaps with the ability to switch gears on projects in an agile manner
• Keep teams on critical path with efforts to minimize distractions
• Provide clear, timely and objective communication, including regular program status updates and one-off reviews as needed to executive team
