Google Cloud is seeking a highly skilled software engineer to join the Storage Protocols team. The role involves leading the redesign of the serving stack and implementing cutting-edge features to enhance AI workloads.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of experience in software development
• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products
• 5 years of experience building large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems
• 3 years of experience with performance tuning

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic vision and technical execution to redesign GCS's serving stack
• Drive the implementation of complex, customer-facing features to enable AI at scale
• Act as the technical owner for impactful problems within the GCS API space
• Provide technical guidance and establish partnerships with engineering teams
• Mentor and develop talented engineers on the team
