System Development Engineer, Tech Deploy - Systems Integration

Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to be part of the Technology Deployment - Systems Integration team, responsible for developing and delivering the next generation of fulfillment systems using advanced technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of control system experience including PLC/IPC based controls design
• Experience with automated material handling equipment and robotics
• Knowledge of industrial networking and communications
• Experience with 3-phase electrical systems

Responsibilities

• Support installation of complex cross-functional projects
• Drive project priorities, establish milestones, and present KPI metrics
• Deep dive technical solutions involving advanced technology applications
• Communicate project status and answer detailed project questions
• Build relationships with Fulfillment Center management and operations teams
• Identify process improvement initiatives and develop cross-functional knowledge
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality solutions
• Travel up to 75% throughout North America
