Job Description

As an Operations Engineer at Amazon, you will lead and manage the lifecycle of challenging cross-functional projects, developing and delivering the next generation of sortation and distribution solutions. You will work with talented engineers in the design, development, and delivery of physical distribution systems globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering
  • 4+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
  • Experience working with Material handling equipment (MHE)
  • Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Work independently with internal and external teams to successfully manage challenging projects
  • Participate in firm engineering reviews and impact proposed solutions
  • Partner with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors to drive project schedules
  • Lead execution efforts in delivering systems and automated equipment designs
  • Coordinate project meetings, communicate project status and risks
  • Articulate system and equipment designs to internal customers and partner teams
  • Manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoice approvals
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives
  • Support/training other engineering team members
