Reliability Engineer - Audio

Job Description

Apple Audio Hardware Reliability Engineering team is looking for a candidate to work on ensuring and improving the durability and reliability of their products through various reliability tests and interactions with engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a hardware-focused field (Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering)
• 3+ years experience performing product characterization including mechanical stress test, shock/drop/vibration testing, environmental testing
• Ability to travel internationally
• Strong attention to detail and curiosity of how technologies work
• Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Developing new reliability tests procedures and specification
• Preparing concise and detailed test plans and analyzing test reports
• Statistically analyzing data to provide design risk assessments
• Presenting tests, results, and risk assessments to management and executive teams
• Researching new technologies to understand unique failure mechanisms
• Guiding design and interacting with diverse groups to improve product reliability
