Microsoft is offering a Software Engineering Internship opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in big data, cloud infrastructure, and AI-driven analytics.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a full-time bachelor's or master’s program in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field during the academic term immediately before the internship
• Must have at least 1 semester/term remaining following the completion of the internship
• One year of programming experience in an object-oriented language

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to solve complex problems through sound and creative engineering, focusing on query execution performance across CPU and GPU architectures
• Work with stakeholders to determine user requirements for low-level systems performance features
• Learn and apply advanced engineering methods such as SIMD assembly, GPU programming, and C++
• Seek feedback and apply best practices to improve technical solutions
• Demonstrate skill in time management and completing software projects in a team environment
• Review current developments and proactively seek new knowledge to improve query execution systems
