Software Engineer II - Microsoft Path Team

Job Description

Microsoft is looking for a Software Engineer II to join their Path team, responsible for collaborative work management products including Microsoft Project, Planner, To Do, and Visio. The role involves transforming how people work, plan, and collaborate with advanced AI technologies and frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of full stack experience (frontend and backend).
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
• Experience building Python backend service and distributed data processing systems.
• Experience building generative AI applications using LLMs and evals.
• Experience building front end applications using node.js, React, TypeScript, etc.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to determining user requirements for a feature and incorporate insights into future designs.
• Learn and contribute to processes for the architecture of a product/solution feature.
• Create and implement code that is extensible and maintainable.
• Review work items and assist in breaking down tasks.
• Contribute to operations of live service and identify solutions to issues.
• Develop and contribute to automation within production and deployment of a product feature.
