Job Description

Goldman Sachs is looking for an experienced individual to join their Asset & Wealth Management Engineering team. The ideal candidate will design and create API-based web services using Java and leading open-source technology frameworks.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent industry experience
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience
• Hands-on development experience with Java 17+, Python 3.10+, TypeScript 4+
• Experience with Spring Boot, Node.JS, React, Angular, and Python for web services and UX development
• Experience with CI/CD, AWS Cloud Platform, open-source tools like Spring Boot, Docker, Hibernate, relational and NoSQL databases, Gradle, Maven, and Linux/Unix environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and applying them to improve products

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a global cross-functional team to build customer-centric products
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into solutions
• Design, build, test, and deploy highly scalable web services following REST API model
• Lead software development guidelines and best practices
• Provide advice, expertise, and support for maximizing growth and improving business performance
• Analyze existing software, identify areas of improvement, and estimate new feature implementations
• Manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Participate in user story refinement, technical design, code reviews, and Agile process
