Job Description

Apple is seeking extraordinary Manufacturing Design Engineers to drive key mechanical manufacturing processes across its worldwide supply base.

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-time mechanical manufacturing experience
• BS, MS or PhD in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering
• 35% domestic and international travel required

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end manufacturing and process solutions for key design features
• Define best-in-class processes to meet all Apple design and operational requirements
• Develop and document processes including all parameters, consumables and secondary operation requirements
• Collaborate with Global Supply Managers to define and establish supply chain requirements
• Lead process development and have expertise in specific areas such as CNC machining, surface finishing, glass processing, assembly, and painting
• Use data-driven approach for process decisions and basic data analysis
• Identify, research, develop, and qualify premier equipment manufacturers and suppliers
