Supplier Industrialization Engineer, IC Packaging, Power Electronics

Job Description

The role involves development of suppliers, processes, and packages for power electronics applications, requiring effective communication with internal and external teams, travel to various supplier locations, and support for design and process bring-up of a package.

Requirements

• Degree or relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or equivalent experience
• Experience with failure analysis and material analysis techniques
• Detailed understanding of industry standards such as JEDEC, AEC-Q, RoHS, and IPC
• Experience with NPI activities for high volume manufacturing
• Experience with Statistical Process Control and statistical analysis
• Experience with process qualification methodologies

Responsibilities

• Work with manufacturers on component development and lead resolutions for mass production
• Lead material characterization and process corner studies with suppliers
• Spearhead Root cause analysis and permanent countermeasures with cross functional teams
• Work with design and reliability engineering team to ensure package meets design requirements
• Monitor supplier's yield, equipment performance, and process controls
• Assess and drive continuous improvement in supplier's PFMEA and manufacturing process controls
• Owner of RFQ's and contract management
