Mechanical Design Engineer, Datacenter Engineering

Job Description

Tesla is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on building Datacenters by creating detailed designs of HVAC and utility systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC systems and Datacenter Air Side Systems
• Knowledge in ductwork, HVAC, and Plumbing design
• Working knowledge of Liquid Cooling Technologies
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Trane, and/or Carrier HAP
• Familiarity with various codes and standards related to mechanical systems and energy conservation
• Basic understanding of Control Systems and Datacenter Electrical Distribution
• Willingness to travel 10-15% of the time

Responsibilities

• Performing Mechanical HVAC design engineering from conceptual design to construction administration
• Coordinating with multiple disciplines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Researching and contributing innovative ideas to solve complex engineering problems
