Sr. HIL Software Engineer

Job Description

Join Rivian's Charging & Energy team as a Senior HIL Software Engineer to design and build cutting-edge Python-based test automation frameworks for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 2+ years of Embedded/Platform software development and testing experience
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with HIL hardware and software platforms
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency with pytest preferred
• Familiarity with communication protocols preferred
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and issue tracking tools preferred
• Understanding of electric vehicle charging protocols preferred

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based software applications and frameworks
• Create and maintain Python libraries for reusability and modularity
• Develop software tools and scripts for optimization
• Partner with functional safety engineers for safety-critical features validation
• Implement innovative software solutions for HIL regression testing
