Job Description

Join the Microsoft Word Writing Assistance and Language Intelligence team as a Senior Applied Scientist to drive intelligence experience projects and contribute to advancing language technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of research or product experience in NLP.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Deep Learning using PyTorch or similar.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience in Python or C#.

Responsibilities

• Review business and product requirements and incorporate state-of-the-art research to formulate plans that meet business goals.
• Research and develop an understanding of tools, technologies, and methods to improve product quality, performance, or efficiency.
• Stay updated with the latest research and trends in NLP and related fields.
• Participate in onboarding of team members and identify new research talent to join Microsoft.
• Document work in progress and share findings to promote innovation.
