Senior Software Engineer - Chaos Engineering

Job Description

The High Availability team at Microsoft is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Chaos Engineering to work on optimizing service reliability and infrastructure costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of software design and development experience with backend services.

Responsibilities

• Own feature projects that impact High Availability component of Exchange Online for 4.5 9s availability.
• Write production, monitoring, and test code, conduct performance analysis of storage engine, database replication, and networking layer.
• Research Chaos experiments, engage with partners to improve service resilience and observability of M365 distributed systems.
