Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer (E)

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Mechanical design engineer with precision machine design experience to join the team at KLA, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, sheet metal forming, and 3D printing
• Experience in 3D solid modeling (Creo or Solidworks)
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Strong written and verbal communications skills

Responsibilities

• CAD mechanical design using CREO, Solidworks
• Perform feasibility studies
• Managing large assemblies and system layout using reference geometry
• Drive conceptual and detailed design using 3D solid modeling
• Perform FEA analysis, error budgeting, and hand calculations
• Participate in and lead design reviews
• Build prototypes and validate designs
• Release designs to manufacturing
