Hardware Reliability Engineer, Beam

Job Description

As a Reliability Engineer at Google, you will be responsible for creating new consumer electronic products that meet high standards for reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hardware Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 6 years of experience in applying Design for Reliability techniques
• PhD or Master's degree in Hardware Engineering
• 5 years of experience with experimental design and execution of complex hardware products
• 4 years of statistical analysis experience
• 4 years of experience working with manufacturing partners
• 3 years of experience with failure analysis techniques
• 3 years of experience with data analytics

Responsibilities

• Develop reliability test plans and performance metrics to validate designs and utilize statistical data analysis to characterize product performance
• Conduct Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and electrical, mechanical, and functional tests and experiments to develop solutions and troubleshoot performance issues
• Manage resources and projects involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, organizational implications, and changing circumstances
