Signal and Power Integrity Engineer - Hardware

Job Description

NVIDIA is seeking a Signal & Power Integrity Engineer to work with state-of-the-art technology and help optimize system design problems.

Requirements

• BS/MS-Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of industry experience
• Strong technical background in applied electromagnetics, transmission line theory and signal processing
• SI work on high-speed signaling standards like PCI express, USB, SATA, HDMI, HBM, DDR5, GDDR6, LPDDR5X, etc.
• Hands-on experience with 3-D modeling tools like ANSYS HFSS/Q3D, 2.5-D with ANSYS SIWAVE or similar, and 2D tools
• Familiarity with system level timing or loss budget, lab measurements, and various simulation tools
• Experience with tools like VNA, TDR, DSO, ParBERT, ADS, Ansys Designer, JMP, Matlab, Cadence Allegro

Responsibilities

• Craft creative Signal Integrity solutions for complex system design problems
• Modeling and Optimization of various system components in 3D EM tools
• Conduct system-level signal integrity simulations of high-speed interfaces
• Constantly improve SI models using lab measurements and modeling tools
• Create substrate and board layout SI guidelines, review, and post layout SI extractions
• Automate simulations, data gathering, analysis, and visualization
• Collaborate in a dynamic cross-functional role to optimize package, PCB, ASIC, mixed signal circuit
