Research Scientist, Coherence Fabrication

Job Description

Google is seeking a Research Scientist to work on quantum computing projects and contribute to the research community.

Requirements

• PhD in Physics, Material Science or related field
• 2 years of experience leading a research agenda
• Experience with semiconductor fabrication processes in a cleanroom environment
• Experience with semiconductor equipment and failure analysis techniques
• Experience with micro-fabrication techniques and tools

Responsibilities

• Author research papers to share and generate impact of research results
• Help in growing research business by sharing research trends within the community
• Drive project work by defining data structure, framework, design, and evaluation metrics
• Identify new research areas and develop long-term research strategy and plans
• Engage stakeholders and leaders to address defined problems/gaps in existing technology
