Job Description

The Launch Engineer, Manufacturing Programs role at Tesla's Fremont Factory Engineering team involves overseeing new manufacturing line installations and modifications, ensuring seamless execution alongside factory operations.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in automotive, high tech, or other high volume/high complexity manufacturing
• Strong interpersonal skills dealing with all levels of an organization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent organization skills
• Creative thinking and excellent problem-solving skills
• Understanding of creating dashboards in Tableau / Ziplabs is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead feasibility and business case assessments on introduction of product changes or new manufacturing lines
• Finalize project scope, secure resources, and lead funding approval cycle for projects/programs
• Work with business leaders to identify success criteria and steward teams to meet them
• Create formal project communication plans, define project requirements, workflows, and plans
• Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to resolve roadblocks
• Interact, integrate, and drive results across cross-functional teams in various departments
