Process Engineer, Battery Pack, Megafactory

Job Description

The Process Engineer will be responsible for process sustaining and continuous improvement on the production line, building Tesla's commercial scale energy storage product. The role will involve applying lean manufacturing principles, troubleshooting test failures, and driving necessary process improvements.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in an automated, high volume manufacturing facility
• Experience in safety control devices and safety logic preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and aptitude for learning systems quickly
• Experience with Dispense systems, Vision (Keyence or Cognex), Laser welding and Fastening (Atlas Copco) preferred
• Strong SQL skills and ability to create interactive dashboards using data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in manufacturing processes
• Lead continuous improvement activities to drive improvements to critical KPIs
• Analyzing and optimizing production processes to ensure safety and maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
• Create and maintain Manufacturing Instructions, routings, and associated processes
• Support 24/7 production operations
