Job Description

Join Tesla's Battery Engineering organization as a Mechanical Design Engineer in Palo Alto, CA. Enhance designs for current Tesla vehicles and define structural designs for future models while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong engineering fundamentals in materials and mechanics
• Detail-oriented with CAD modeling experience, CATIA V5/3DX a plus
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing
• Proficiency in 3D design and GD&T drawings

Responsibilities

• Improve designs for existing vehicles and define structural designs for future Tesla models
• Integrate vehicle and battery cell systems for optimal performance
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams for new processes and materials
• Conduct testing for design updates and root-cause analysis
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process, and quality teams for product improvements
