Senior Mechatronics Engineer (Stage Development)

Job Description

KLA is looking for a research scientist to work on precision motion control for semiconductor equipment in cleanroom environments.

Requirements

• Doctorate (Academic) Degree or Master's Level Degree with related work experience of 3 years or Bachelor's Level Degree with related work experience of 5 years
• Experience in precision motion control with hands-on experience integrating, testing, and optimizing complex mechanisms
• Working knowledge of Matlab/Simulink tools for controller development and tuning, ability to develop Python scripts for data analysis

Responsibilities

• Perform controller tuning, performance characterization, and troubleshooting for a nanometer-level precision motion stage
• Define specifications for stage testing and drive the development of data processing tools in Python
• Characterize dynamic performance at the inspection station level and drive the implementation of improvements if needed
• Collaborate cross-functionally to generate plans for integrated testing of the stage in the system
