Job Description

NVIDIA is seeking a passionate Optical Interconnect Engineer to work on optical component development for NVIDIA's products.

Bachelor degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related fields or equivalent experience.
5+ years optical interconnect experience.
Knowledge in optical connector assembly and optical termination standards.
Basic photonic device knowledge.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of mechanical simulation software like Ansys mechanical or Abacus.

Responsible for defining optical component design rules, process flow, and material sets.
Lead optical component development to establish manufacturability and reliability.
Drive component qualification activities from initial concept to production.
Work closely with offshore fab, assembly, test, and connector partners.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams within NVIDIA and define optical packaging requirements.
