Job Description

Goldman Sachs is seeking an experienced Engineer to join their Core Engineering team, specifically focusing on Developer Experience & Runtime. The role involves managing infrastructure, implementing continuous integration and delivery pipelines, ensuring application availability and performance, maintaining security controls, and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies in the DevOps space.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, or related role
• Professional experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or CircleCI
• Professional experience with AWS cloud constructs, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka
• General knowledge of multiple languages with expert knowledge in at least one of Golang, Java, Python, C, C++
• Strong software engineering and system design fundamentals
• Experience with all stages of SDLC
• Experience with SRE principles and managing the performance of large distributed systems
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal English language skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Own, manage, and automate infrastructure and deployments across various environments
• Implement and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines
• Design, configure, and manage observability for systems to ensure application availability and performance
• Maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and client development teams
• Implement and maintain security controls and compliance requirements
• Address production issues in a timely manner and advocate for product quality improvements
• Stay current with emerging technologies in the DevOps space
