Sr Platform Engineer-Material Handling & Automation

Job Description

Seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the evolution of distribution center automation systems, optimizing material handling and automation capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of MHE Systems Troubleshooting
• 5+ years of MHE Design
• 5+ years of Operational Design
• 5+ years of message integration experience
• PLC Programming experience
• Experience in DOO, FRD, FSD, and Detail Design processes
• Proven experience with WCS implementations and integrations to WMS systems
• Hands-on expertise in conveyor, sortation, and material handling technologies
• Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues
• Experience with mechanical troubleshooting and electrical panel diagnostics
• Proficiency with Cognex and Keyence vision systems
• Strong documentation skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of automated systems
• Support Warehouse Control Systems integration with Warehouse Management Systems
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Monitor system performance and drive proactive improvements
• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ensure highest quality standards for system functionality
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities
