Associate Facilities Engineer

Job Description

Tesla is seeking an Associate Facilities Engineer to support the operation and optimization of their advanced manufacturing facility with a focus on energy efficiency, environmental impact reduction, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, SCADA, and automated controls system operations
• Flexibility to work various shifts including days, nights, or weekends
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software tools like Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment and a full-face air-purifying respirator
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor HVAC, Hydronic, and utility equipment in a 24hr production facility
• Start and stop equipment, maintain facility operations through control software
• Support new equipment installation, startup, and commissioning
• Perform routine operator rounds, troubleshoot alarms, and instrument readings
• Champion safety policies, collaborate with teammates to improve equipment reliability
• Participate in engineering design and analysis tasks, implement standard practices
• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, plans, and instructions
