Rivian is offering a Winter 2026 Co-op internship opportunity in Digital Manufacturing Engineering, focusing on developing automation platforms for its factories.

Requirements

• Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters, or PhD degree at an accredited university.
• Ability to work within a dynamic team and collaborating with cross-functional teams on various technical projects.
• Understanding developing software via object-oriented programming paradigm.
• Understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, JavaScript, etc.
• Understanding of Relational Databases such as PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL, etc.

Responsibilities

• Contributing and expanding upon software skills towards building libraries of modular code and templates for various automation components.
• Leading the push for code organization, structure, documentation, maintainability, and reusability.
• Developing full stack features within code generation tools.
• Assisting in the creation of user-friendly HMI and SCADA screens for equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Designing software to interface between manufacturing equipment and supervisory systems like the MES.
