Job Description

The Operations Engineering Internship at Amazon is a part-time internship during the Spring 2026 academic season followed by a full-time 10-week internship in Summer 2026. Interns will work on developing and delivering next-generation fulfillment systems.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Industrial, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
  • Able to commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week and a 12-week internship

Responsibilities

  • Drive resolution for an intern project by analyzing data for process improvement
  • Assist in designing, building, and innovating order fulfillment infrastructure
  • Support management, design, and implementation of automation projects
  • Guide and coordinate design and execution efforts between internal teams and vendors
  • Develop and manage budget and contract documents
  • Direct system commissioning and testing activities
  • Ensure proper operator training, compliance, maintenance, and safety practices
  • Thoroughly document and investigate FC change requests
  • Inspect facilities in accordance with corporate standards
