Job Description

The Operations Engineering Internship at Amazon is a part-time internship during the Spring 2026 academic season followed by a full-time 10-week internship in Summer 2026. Interns will work on developing and delivering next-generation fulfillment systems.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Industrial, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
Able to commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week and a 12-week internship

Responsibilities

Drive resolution for an intern project by analyzing data for process improvement
Assist in designing, building, and innovating order fulfillment infrastructure
Support management, design, and implementation of automation projects
Guide and coordinate design and execution efforts between internal teams and vendors
Develop and manage budget and contract documents
Direct system commissioning and testing activities
Ensure proper operator training, compliance, maintenance, and safety practices
Thoroughly document and investigate FC change requests
Inspect facilities in accordance with corporate standards
