Arcadis is seeking an experienced Capital Project Engineer to support upcoming large capital projects at the client site located in Worcester, MA.
Requirements
BS in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or Electrical Engineering with 6-8 years of relevant work experience
Construction management for utility, process, equipment, and facility project experience
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, possesses excellent planning and organizational skills
Strong teamwork and the ability to maintain constructive relationships with personnel from various disciplines at all levels in the organization
PMP certification is a significant advantage
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30-hour qualification is a significant advantage
Previous biotech / biopharmaceutical experience is a significant advantage
Exposure to commercial construction activities with some degree of understanding of all trades to support construction efforts
General knowledge of pertinent building, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and fire protection codes
Qualifications/training in construction management is a plus
Candidates must be able to lift 25 lbs and negotiate active construction sites
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Responsibilities
Participate in conceptual and detailed design efforts
Conduct regular contractor safety evaluations
Review project submittals and RFIs
Update site drawings, system P&IDs, and other documents as needed
Coordinate project activities with internal and external parties
Deliver periodic project status reports
Interact with city inspectors and outside contractors
Provide daily oversight of all on-site contractors
Support startup of new equipment
