Job Description
Responsible for innovating precision assembly and measurement processes, and driving continuous improvement in equipment yield, efficiency, and speed in the opto-electronics industry.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in precision assembly, inspection, and automation equipment design and qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledgeable in crafting machine qualification requirements, design of experiments, and failure analysis
- Experience in new product introduction and Manufacturing Operations desired
- Working knowledge of GD&T principles favorable
Responsibilities
- Develop new and improved processes through theoretical and practical engineering
- Provide direction and mentorship to third party machine/automation suppliers
- Organize cross-functional reviews of the machine requirements, design, qualification, and capability
- Drive machine qualification including correlation, process capability (CP/CPK), and Gage Repeatability / Reproducibility (GR&R)
- Run equipment experiments to bound the capability of the machine
- Responsible for data analysis reports to communicate machine capability to the multi-functional teams
