Job Description

As an Operations Engineer at Amazon, you will lead and manage cross-functional projects to develop and deliver sortation and distribution solutions globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field
  • 0-4 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or related occupation
  • Experience managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects, implementing automated equipment and/or integrated systems
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the lifecycle of challenging projects independently
  • Participate in engineering reviews and impact proposed solutions
  • Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to set priorities and drive schedules
  • Coordinate execution efforts in delivering systems and automated equipment designs
  • Lead effective meetings, document discussions, and communicate project status
  • Articulate system and/or equipment designs to internal customers and partner teams
  • Manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoice validation/approvals
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives
  • Up to 80% travel domestically with variable intensity
