Job Description
As an Operations Engineer at Amazon, you will lead and manage cross-functional projects to develop and deliver sortation and distribution solutions globally.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field
0-4 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or related occupation
Experience managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects, implementing automated equipment and/or integrated systems
Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the lifecycle of challenging projects independently
Participate in engineering reviews and impact proposed solutions
Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to set priorities and drive schedules
Coordinate execution efforts in delivering systems and automated equipment designs
Lead effective meetings, document discussions, and communicate project status
Articulate system and/or equipment designs to internal customers and partner teams
Manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoice validation/approvals
Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Identify and lead process improvement initiatives
Up to 80% travel domestically with variable intensity
