Job Description
The Camera Hardware Engineering group at Apple is seeking extraordinary Hardware Engineers to lead the development and system integration of high-performance, compact camera modules, collaborating with various teams to innovate camera hardware for Apple products.
Requirements
- MSc in relevant field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Materials or equivalent)
- Ability to lead a multi-functional team of engineers and scientists
- Ability to influence other teams and manage risk
- Familiarity with design and tolerance analysis of actuators or mechanisms
- Knowledge of electronic circuit and system design
- Understanding of geometric optics and image quality evaluation
- Experience with image/depth sensor design or characterization
- Familiarity with compact module manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of failure analysis techniques
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization
- Proven track record of delivering new products into mass production
Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative camera hardware technology
- Collaborate with teams to research and qualify camera systems
- Lead camera hardware projects and engage with product and technology teams
- Manage the R&D phase of product development from concept to mass production
