Job Description
As an Acoustic Transducer Engineer at Apple, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to drive the design and development of transducers, ensuring optimal audio experiences across all Apple products.
Requirements
- Strong background in acoustic principles, vibration, and electromechanical systems
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis software (COMSOL) for simulations and analysis
- Working knowledge of lumped-parameter simulation methods and tools (MATLAB and Simulink)
- Experience with 3D solid modeling and meshing tools
- Experience with transducer design and testing, understanding of loudspeaker design methods
- Experience with speaker components and materials, assembly techniques, and integration into products
- Ability to work with manufacturing suppliers on DFM from early design phase to mass production
- Useful but not required: Experience with Speaker LPM and nonlinear parameters measurement systems
Responsibilities
- Drive all aspects of transducer design and development
- Help manufacturing partners scale production and testing
- Perform linear and non-linear computer simulations of electromagnetic, acoustics, and structural mechanics
