The Operations Engineering Internship is a part-time on-site role for Spring 2026, followed by a full-time 10-week internship in Summer 2026. Interns will work on innovative engineering projects to enhance Amazon's fulfillment systems.
Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older
Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related discipline
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 49 pounds
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and/or overnight shifts as required
Responsibilities
Drive resolution for an intern project by owning and deep diving data to support a process improvement recommendation
Assist in designing, building, improving, and innovating order fulfillment infrastructure
Support management, design, and implementation of medium scope integrated automation projects
Guide and coordinate design and execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors
Develop and manage budget and contract documents
Direct system commissioning and predefined testing activities
Coordinate with local site management for training and compliance
Document and investigate FC change requests
Inspect facilities in accordance with corporate standards
