Job Description

Arcadis is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their Water Management/Hydraulic Structural Team, responsible for delivering engineering and consulting services for projects focused on flood risk reduction, waterfront infrastructure resilience, and related initiatives.

Requirements

8 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in related discipline
Professional Engineer (PE) registration or EIT with ability to obtain PE within 6 months of hire
Experience in designing flood walls, flood gates, retaining wall structures, and deep foundations
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Revit

Responsibilities

Conduct structural analysis, design, and engineering during construction services for climate adaptation projects
Conduct structural related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work
Research feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications
Develop calculations, plans, specifications, requests for proposals, and other contract documents
Communicate clearly and concisely with engineering disciplines, project staff, clients, and sub-contractors
Function as Design Lead, Task Manager, or Project Engineer on projects
Manage related budgets and schedules, lead deliverables, and coordinate timely completion and submission of projects
Travel for project site visits, client meetings, and construction oversight as needed
Mentor entry-level and junior structural engineering staff
