Job Description
Rivian is offering an internship for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. The role focuses on developing testing processes and supporting the launch and commissioning of test equipment for production lines, specifically in Drive unit & EMM.
Requirements
- Pursuing Bachelor's degree in an Electro-Mechanical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
- Cross discipline interest and experience in Mechanical, Electrical and Programming.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing and process development.
- Programming understanding - Script and block based is good to have.
- Team work experience - Cross functional engagement and collaboration experience with team projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the commissioning of Leak test, Oil Fill, Manual station, Drive unit Testers toward successfully launching them and getting them ready to start production.
- Develop Noise and Vibration metrics and limits using in vehicle correlation data and collaborating with our NVH team.
- Identify and help fix downtime issues during ramp, help with ideas that can support reducing cycle time.
- Support /maintain standard manufacturing / quality documentation for core processes.
- Identify tooling and hardware requirements, design and implement them into production processes.
- Identify automation opportunities and establish requirements as well as evaluate return on investment for each.
- Help gather resources and close out open points in Rivian safe tag process.
