Job Description

This entry-level product-focused position involves performing technical tasks at the sub-system and component level in product life cycles, coordinating between various teams and ensuring quality product decisions while developing technology knowledge.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field required
Post-graduate degree may be required for select roles
Entry-level/Early career professional
Relevant experience in temporary student employment or early career in a technical discipline preferred
Knowledge of MS Office tools preferred
Ability to analyze test results using MATLAB and/or Python, Excel
Collaborative experience through college projects, internships, or co-ops
Co-Op experience with Cummins is highly valued and preferred

Responsibilities

Investigates product problems and recommends appropriate action
Works in business processes of Product Preceding Technology, Value Package Introduction, or Current Product Support
Executes technical processes such as Engineering Standard Work, iDFMEA, and Failure Incident Review Group
Obtains input from stakeholders to deliver information leading to quality product decisions
Owns problem resolution for moderately complex components and systems
Documents information based on knowledge gained from technical activities
Collaborates with senior engineers to write test plans for pump and injector testing
Engages in the improvement of systems and processes
