Job Description

The Electrical Engineering Manager at Milwaukee Tool will lead a team of electrical engineers to support high volume battery projects, focusing on strategic roadmap planning, resource allocation, and process improvement while collaborating across various engineering and operational teams.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
7+ years of highly successful embedded systems experience.
3+ years of team leadership experience.
Understanding of digital circuits and the interaction between firmware and electronics.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership experience.
Self-motivated, organized, and efficient.
Practical knowledge in embedded electronics design and battery/PCBA manufacturing.
Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout software.
Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

Lead a small to medium size team of electrical engineers in the design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of embedded electronics.
Mentor and coach the team in engineering best practices.
Lead the team to qualify alternate electronic components and maintain supply chain stability.
Identify and execute Value Engineering opportunities.
Ensure production and warranty/quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Organize and align across functional teams to develop a product support strategy roadmap.
Drive urgency in project schedules and accountability for project metrics.
Effectively communicate and motivate team members across the organization.
Frame-up and escalate business risks/opportunities to senior leadership.
Create and manage robust project roadmaps and resource plans.
Champion and drive new processes and procedures.
Ensure proper risk analysis is performed on proposed changes.
Review drawing releases and Engineering Change Notices.
