Job Description

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will focus on defining, measuring, preventing, and remediating security issues in Google's cloud infrastructure, ensuring a high security posture while collaborating with software engineers and partner teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with security assessments, security design reviews or threat modeling.
5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
1 year of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.
Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, including common security challenges or solutions related to cloud infrastructure and services (Google Cloud Platform).

Responsibilities

Design, build, and implement cloud security controls and solutions for Alphabet's infrastructure on public clouds.
Review designs for cloud architecture and deployed infrastructure to perform technical security assessments, develop threat models, and provide remediation recommendations.
Design solutions to identify, measure, and remediate security gaps in Alphabet's infrastructure on public clouds and on-prem physical networks.
