Job Description

Google is seeking a versatile UX Engineer to collaborate across disciplines in developing innovative products and prototypes, focusing on user-centered design and leveraging generative AI technologies for YouTube.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
Experience in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue), back-end development (e.g., Node.js, Python), and working with databases and cloud platforms (e.g., Firebase/Firestore, Google Cloud Platform).
Experience with Generative AI technologies and models.
Understanding of UX principles and a passion for user-centered design.
Ability to quickly become functional with a new tech stack.
Ability to creatively solve problems and build interactive experiences.
Proficient in building full-stack interactive prototypes.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, researchers, and product managers to conceptualize and rapidly build a wide range of interactive prototypes.
Partner closely with UX Researchers to put prototypes in front of users, using feedback to challenge assumptions and validate ideas.
Identify opportunities and build AI-powered internal tools that enhance creativity and streamline workflows.
Stay at the forefront of the latest developments in generative AI models and technologies.
Partner with product and engineering teams to translate futuristic concepts into actionable steps.
