Job Description

Google is seeking a Performance Engineering Lead to enhance performance across key ML workloads and collaborate with various teams to drive hardware and software improvements, impacting AI and Infrastructure on a global scale.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
5 years of experience with Speech/audio technologies, reinforcement learning, or specialization in another ML field.
5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Lead within the performance team and collaborate with hardware designers, ML model owners, and software systems.
Understand future/emerging workload requirements through collaboration with product areas.
Co-design future hardware roadmap with hardware and systems teams.
Propose new directions for investments.
Drive and evaluate decisions on Google hardware roadmap.
