Job Description

Microsoft is seeking passionate and talented full-stack Product Engineers with web front-end development skills to join the Evaluation tooling team, focusing on building tools for data collection and model evaluation in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including TypeScript, Python, C, C++, C#, Java OR equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience in building and deploying web-based tools or applications.
4+ years of experience with Next JS or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on building tools for data collection and/or model evaluation.
Demonstrated understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, AI research, and engineering.
Familiarity with data science and machine learning concepts, especially as they relate to model evaluation and data collection.

Responsibilities

Design and implement tools using Typescript and Python to streamline data collection and facilitate model evaluation across AI projects.
Leverage expertise in JavaScript and its ecosystem to develop robust and scalable features for internal tools that enhance the quality and efficiency of data and model evaluation.
Work closely with AI researchers, product managers, and engineers to define requirements, scope projects, and deliver high-impact solutions.
Build and optimize data pipelines using Python for collecting, processing, and analyzing large volumes of data used for training and evaluating AI models.
