Job Description

KLA is seeking Applications Development Engineers to characterize new systems and features, optimize processes at customer facilities, and provide technical support in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.

Requirements

Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
Work experience in semiconductor processing or equipment industry preferred
Ability to travel up to 50% on short notice

Responsibilities

Characterization of new systems and features
Designing and conducting experiments
Collecting data and publishing results
Gaining expertise on KLA equipment and customer semiconductor fabrication processes
Training customers and other applications engineers
Investigating customer technical needs/problems and providing solutions
Conducting final acceptance and demonstrating products
Reporting technology development and new applications to Marketing
Supporting pre-sale and post-sale activities
