The Operations Engineering Internship is a part-time on-site role during Spring 2026, followed by a full-time internship in Summer 2026. Interns will support the development of advanced fulfillment systems within Amazon's North America initiative.
Requirements
18 years of age or older
Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to a 12 week internship maximum
Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or other related discipline
Responsibilities
Drive resolution for an intern project by owning and deep diving data to support a process improvement recommendation
Assist in designing, building, improving, and innovating order fulfillment infrastructure
Support management, design, and implementation of medium scope integrated automation projects
Guide and coordinate design and execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors
Develop and manage budget and contract documents
Direct system commissioning and predefined testing activities
Coordinate with local site management for operator training and procedural compliance
Thoroughly document/investigate FC change requests
Inspect facilities in accordance with corporate standards
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, and moving totes
