Job Description

Arcadis is seeking a Structural Engineer to deliver engineering and consulting services focused on flood risk reduction, waterfront infrastructure resilience, and dam safety in Baton Rouge, Metairie, New Orleans, Louisiana, or Mobile, Alabama.

Requirements

8 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration or EIT with ability to obtain PE within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Conduct structural analysis, design, and engineering during construction services for climate adaptation projects.
Conduct structural related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work.
Research feasibility of alternative design approaches and regulatory agency specifications.
Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
Work directly with engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients, and sub-contractors.
Exercise judgment on details of work and make selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
Function as Design Lead, Task Manager, or Project Engineer to manage budgets and schedules.
Mentor entry-level and junior structural engineering staff.
Some travel may be required for project site visits and client meetings.
