Job Description

Amazon Fresh Grocery is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to build and maintain data ecosystems, partnering with engineers, analysts, and business leads to solve complex data problems in the Grocery business.

Requirements

5+ years of data engineering experience
Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
Experience with SQL
Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
Experience mentoring team members on best practices

Responsibilities

Design, implement and support a self-serve data platform for engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders
Build and maintain interoperable AWS components for data storage, computation, and compliance/privacy
Develop the end-to-end automation of data pipelines
Create automated alarming and dashboards to monitor data integrity
Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
Influence the organization to adopt next-generation data technology and frameworks
Partner with fellow engineers and scientists to build proof of concept applications
Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation and metadata for solutions
