Job Description

The Group Manager – Redline Labs at Milwaukee Tool leads testing activities for power tools, overseeing lab management, project leaders, and test engineers to ensure best-in-class product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
  • 7+ years of proven leadership, managing engineering departments and new product development teams.
  • Technical, cross functional, and change management.
  • Financial acumen including cost drivers associated with materials, labor & overhead.
  • Talent development.
  • Minimum 10 years engineering experience in related field.
  • Electromechanical experience preferred.
  • High-level of Mechanical/Electrical aptitude.
  • Working design knowledge of technologies associated with Milwaukee products.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Project.
  • Self-starter, hands-on, able to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to test functions within the department.
  • Build and manage cross functional relationships to support standardization, collaboration, product development, and business growth.
  • Build organization capacity, while developing and coaching team members.
  • Proactively manage risk while providing test and department solutions.
  • Influence senior leadership with visionary and strategic insights for department growth and improvements.
  • Assess technical capabilities and leadership engagement.
  • Ensure all projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Develop resource plans and effective department processes.
  • Regularly present project status, schedule updates, and financial updates.
  • Leverage effective communication and agility to manage personnel and team dialogue.
  • Lead team meetings, leadership discussions, and feedback sessions.
  • Provide executive level visibility, highlighting people, culture, and technical expertise in department operations.
