As a Project Engineer II at Milwaukee Tool, you will leverage your engineering and project management skills to execute design updates, ensuring products remain best-in-class and meet user needs.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or educational equivalent is required
Preferred degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience
Ability to travel internationally & domestically to global manufacturing and service facilities (<10% travel)
Ability to manage several simultaneous projects
Highly developed mechanical aptitude with broad knowledge of engineering materials used in power tools
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
Self-starter with strong problem-solving mentality
Understanding of DFMA and various cost drivers associated with materials, labor & overhead
PMP/CAPM certification is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
Lead small to medium scale engineering projects and provide engineering support on mid-level complexity projects under supervision
Work cross-functionally and globally with various departments
Lead tradeoff discussions focusing on Performance, Cost, and Schedule
Assist in developing comprehensive plans to meet project targets
Monitor & track project progress and provide regular updates
Visit manufacturing facilities and suppliers for troubleshooting analysis
Request and perform tests per established procedures
Interpret data and make corresponding design recommendations
Utilize computer aided simulation tools
Select materials and heat treatments
Conduct tolerance stacks and deviation analysis
Select and evaluate lubricant properties and uses
Perform noise and vibration analysis
Interact with suppliers to develop part and product specifications
